Job Title: Production Operator
Location: Stow, OH 44224 United States
Work Schedule: Mon – Fri, From 6:00 am to 2:00 pm
Pay rate: USD $ 18.00
Contract: Temp to hire
Summary:
The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for performing routine manufacturing tasks according to standardized procedures and work instructions, specifically relating to the production of catalyst carriers at both pilot plant and plant level scale. This role requires respect for team collaboration, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to multitask with strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
Core Responsibilities:
- Perform routine manufacturing tasks for new or existing products following established procedures and instructions
- Assist with production and pilot scale activities: weighing, mixing, forming, drying, and maintaining process documentation (written/electronic)
- Submit and test product samples in ERP quality system and prepare shipments to customers
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, applying 5S and performing cleaning, painting, sweeping, and organization tasks
- Consistently adhere to environmental, health, and safety policies; attend required training sessions
- Perform simple, routine maintenance functions on machinery (cleaning, basic assembly, etc.) under supervision
- Operate forklift and maintain current annual certification
- Collaborate effectively on team projects and communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers, and customers
- Manage multiple priorities to ensure timely task completion in accord with department and company standards
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Some post-secondary education (technical school or college, preferred)
- One (1) year work experience (preferred)
- Forklift license (required)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and intermediate math skills (decimals, fractions, S.I. units)
- Technical credibility, adaptable to change, and results-oriented
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Demonstrated computer skills (MS Office preferred) and ability to learn new applications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Respectful and collaborative team player
Work Schedule & Environment:
- Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (First shift)
- Temporary position
- Work involves standing for extended periods and maintaining clean, safe workspace
- Environment may require flexibility, adaptability, and quick shifting between tasks
