Machine Operator – $21/hr
Location: Lenni, PA
Shift: 7am-3:30pm (Overtime Available)

Overview:
This role is hands-on, requiring machining skills, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards, with opportunities for growth and competitive benefits in a manufacturing setting.

Essential Duties and Physical Demands:

  • Operate lathes, vertical milling machines, drill presses, chop saws, band saws, and planers

  • Fabricate plastic rods, slabs, and sheets according to Shop Orders

  • Read and interpret Shop Orders accurately

  • Use gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements

  • Select, align, secure, and remove holding fixtures, cutting tools, and materials properly

  • Utilize inserts, fixtures, and tooling appropriately

  • Perform daily cleaning and light maintenance on machinery

  • Recommend process improvements for efficiency/adaptability

  • Track parts and jobs accurately

  • Follow all safety and quality procedures

  • Lift heavy materials (50 lbs or more) as part of daily work

  • Prolonged standing and frequent use of precision tools

  • Operate machinery safely in a manufacturing environment

Required Skills:

  • Proficient operation of manual lathes, drill presses, and saw machines

  • Understanding of materials, cutting tools, machining techniques, speeds, and feeds

  • Basic math and computer skills

  • Good communication skills

  • Mechanical ability; proper use of hand and power tools

  • Basic awareness of electricity and safety risks

  • Responsible for personal and team safety

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Valid driver’s license

  • At least 2 years of manufacturing/job shop experience

  • Knowledge of horizontal lathes, portable resurfacing machines, and drill presses
