Kelly® is looking for a Production Operator to work at a premier manufacturing client in Newark, DE. Pay Rate: $20–$22 per hour, depending on experience
Shift: 8-hour rotating shifts, Monday through Friday. Shifts include 11pm–7am, 7am–3pm, and 3pm–11pm. Team members remain on each shift for 4 weeks before rotating to the next.

What’s a typical day as Production Operator? You’ll be:

  • Adhering to all safety procedures and participating in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) initiatives

  • Setting up and operating extrusion lines, slitter, granulator, and other production equipment as per standard operating procedures

  • Conducting routine equipment and area inspections, monitoring processes for leaks and abnormalities, and taking corrective action as needed

  • Performing product transfers, sampling, and maintaining high standards of housekeeping in your assigned area

  • Operating material handling equipment such as fork trucks and scissor lifts

  • Troubleshooting process and equipment issues to identify and resolve production upsets

  • Communicating concerns and developments promptly to management and assisting with auxiliary duties as assigned

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (preferred)

  • Are able to work independently and handle multiple assignments with minimal supervision

  • Possess strong leadership, decision-making, and teamwork skills

  • Can successfully give and receive feedback from peers and managers

  • Are highly resourceful, able to learn new processes quickly, and transfer knowledge effectively to others

  • Are comfortable with mandatory overtime as needed

  • Have the ability to operate material handling equipment and perform QA analyses
