Field Service Technician
Hours: 60-70 hours per week (including travel time)
Pay: $30-$50/hour (plus per diem & travel pay)
Job Summary
We are seeking a Field Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair industrial equipment at customer sites. This position involves diagnosing technical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring efficient equipment operation. The ideal candidate is comfortable in a customer-facing role, routinely traveling to client locations and effectively addressing machinery-related concerns.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, and service equipment at customer sites
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues
- Provide technical support and training to customers
- Document service work and maintenance activities
- Order and replace parts as needed
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and drawings
- Technical certification or associate degree highly preferred
- Experience in the packaging industry preferred
- SAP experience is a plus
- Ability to succeed in a customer-facing environment while traveling
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
