Boxford Bakehouse, a leading contract manufacturer and co-packer for emerging food brands, is seeking dependable and motivated Production Associates to support the packaging, production, and fulfillment of baked and dry food products. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with food production, warehouse, manufacturing, packaging, or commercial kitchen experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment.
Position Summary
The Production Associate plays a key role in daily manufacturing and packaging operations, ensuring products are produced safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards. Team members will assist with packaging, labeling, palletizing, sanitation, and general production support while adhering to food safety and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
Key Responsibilities

Package finished food products according to customer and company specifications.

Operate packaging equipment including heat sealers, metal detectors, flow wrappers, conveyors, and weighing systems (training provided).

Verify product weights, packaging quality, and proper sealing of finished goods.

Assist with scaling, measuring, labeling, and quality inspection of food products.

Build cases and boxes, pack finished products, and prepare shipments for distribution.

Apply accurate lot codes, date codes, and product labels.

Palletize finished products and prepare orders for shipping.
-
Support shipping, receiving, warehousing, and inventory-related activities as needed.

Follow daily and weekly production schedules to meet customer deadlines.

Maintain compliance with food safety, allergen control, organic handling, and gluten-free product standards.

Wear required food safety PPE, including hairnets, beard nets, gloves, and aprons.

Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment.

Report production yields, quality concerns, and process improvement opportunities.

Follow all company safety policies and GMP guidelines.
Qualifications
-
Previous experience in food production, manufacturing, warehouse operations, packaging, or commercial kitchens preferred.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.

Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices preferred.

Allergen Awareness Certification

Commercial bakery, food manufacturing, or food production experience
Training and certifications will be provided for qualified candidates.
