Kelly Services is hiring an I&E Technician in Long Beach, CA. This is a great opportunity for an experienced electrical and instrumentation professional who can support plant electrical equipment, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and facility operations in a safety-focused manufacturing environment.

Location: Long Beach, CA
Pay: $38–$47/hour, based on experience
Shift: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

What you’ll be doing:

  • Installing, removing, troubleshooting, and repairing plant electrical equipment

  • Working with electrical wiring and components across 480/277/120/24V

  • Troubleshooting AC/DC circuits, control circuits, motor controls, and instrumentation

  • Testing and troubleshooting lighting systems, AC variable speed drives, and UPS systems

  • Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, diagrams, blueprints, and manuals

  • Supporting preventive and predictive maintenance activities

  • Servicing process instrumentation, including calibration, scaling, and troubleshooting

  • Working with 4–20mA communications and HART protocol

  • Supporting maintenance operations and site engineering projects

  • Completing work orders, forms, and maintenance documentation accurately

  • Following OSHA, ISO 9001, safety, housekeeping, and site procedures

  • Performing general maintenance support, including housekeeping in shop and field areas

This job might be a great fit if you:

  • Have experience as an I&E Technician, Industrial Electrician, Electrical Technician, or Instrumentation Technician

  • Are comfortable troubleshooting up to 480VAC

  • Can work on low-voltage and industrial electrical systems

  • Understand Arc Flash safety requirements

  • Have experience with Class 1 Division 1 & 2 electrical installations, a plus

  • Are familiar with PSM-designated facility requirements, a plus

  • Can read electrical drawings, blueprints, safety rules, and procedure manuals

  • Can work independently with minimal supervision

  • Are comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing ladders, working at heights, and working in compact/confined spaces

  • Are willing to work overtime, weekends, extended shifts, or call-in work when needed

  • Have a journeyman certification or electrician license, preferred but not required

  • Are willing to drive a forklift or learn
