Location: Franklin, MA
Shifts Available: 1st (6am – 2:30pm or 7am – 3:30pm)
Pay Rate: $21.00
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Specialist I to join our growing warehouse team in Franklin, MA. This role supports multiple warehouse functions, including work order picking, kitting, inventory control, shipping, and material handling.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys hands-on work, and takes pride in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production schedules, and ensuring customer orders are shipped accurately and on time.
All Warehouse Specialists are cross-trained across shipping, receiving, and work order picking functions, providing opportunities to develop a broad range of warehouse and logistics skills.
Key Responsibilities
Work Order Picking & Kitting

Review work orders and identify required materials, quantities, and storage locations.

Pick and verify materials using barcodes, RF scanners, and inventory management systems.

Assemble and stage materials for production and customer orders.

Accurately record inventory transactions and maintain system integrity.

Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies or shortages.

Return unused materials to stock locations and maintain organized picking areas.
Shipping & Logistics

Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments according to customer specifications and company quality standards.

Select appropriate packaging materials to ensure products arrive safely and undamaged.

Coordinate shipping methods including parcel, LTL (Less Than Truckload), and FTL (Full Truckload) shipments.

Verify shipment accuracy prior to release.

Track shipments and assist in resolving delivery or transportation issues as needed.
Inventory Control & Warehouse Operations

Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits.

Monitor stock levels and replenish warehouse consumables as required.

Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP and warehouse management systems (WMS).

Organize warehouse inventory to maximize efficiency, accessibility, and safety.

Assist with receiving, stocking, and material movement activities as needed.
Teamwork & Safety

Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and best practices.

Safely operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts, and reach trucks (training provided as applicable).

Support warehouse operations and assist team members to meet daily goals.

Communicate effectively with supervisors, production personnel, and other departments.

Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
Qualifications
Required
-
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
-
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn ERP, WMS, and inventory software.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
Preferred
-
Previous experience in a warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory, or order fulfillment role.

Experience using RF scanners, barcode systems, or inventory management software.

Experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts, or other warehouse equipment.

Familiarity with ERP or warehouse management systems.
Physical Requirements

Frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb ladders throughout the workday.

Lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Perform repetitive physical tasks in a warehouse environment.

Operate material handling equipment and warehouse tools safely.
Work Environment
This position is based in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. Employees are expected to comply with all safety requirements and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including:
