Kelly is hiring a Quality Lab Technician for one of our clients in Union City, CA

  • 3rd shift: 11pm-7:30am (Monday-Friday, weekend QA work as scheduled)

  • Pay after training $27.50/hr

  • Temp to hire

Training schedule:

$26/hr-1st shift: Candidate will be trained. Start time will be decided based on candidate & training member.

$27/hr-2nd shift: Candidate might work for few days for training 3pm-1130pm

$27.50/hr-3rd shift: Candidate will be working after training.

 

Essential Functions

  • Perform physical, analytical, and sensory evaluations using a variety of laboratory equipment.

  • Identify and isolate non-conforming materials and issue hold orders as appropriate.

  • Perform system holds and releases through the inventory management system.

  • Conduct Quality Assurance round inspections during production for product and process evaluations to ensure compliance with requirements.

  • Perform product sampling for analytical and microbiological testing for internal and third-party laboratories.

  • Perform environmental monitoring swabs.

  • Complete third-party laboratory submissions and verify forms for alignment.

  • Complete shift pass-down reports.

  • Utilize Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Teams.

  • Perform weekly laboratory equipment calibrations on a rotational basis.

  • Inspect rooms to ensure they are clean, sanitized, and ready for production as part of Pre-Operation Inspections with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).

  • Perform ATP, allergen, and environmental swabbing as needed for validations.

  • Perform and document periodic Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Glass & Brittle Plastic inspections on a rotational basis.

  • Assist in compiling quality and statistical data.

  • Maintain cleanliness in the quality laboratory at all times.

  • Perform all duties in accordance with GMP and HACCP requirements, including adhering to uniform policies.

  • Audit HACCP paperwork.

  • Handle other projects and responsibilities as assigned by the company.

 

Minimum Qualifications & Education

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Excel, Inventory Management Systems, and Quality Data Management Systems.

  • Experience: 3–5 years of Quality Assurance experience.

  • Education: High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
