Job Title: Manufacturing Technician I – Consumables Manufacturing
Location: Fremont
Pay rate: $30/HR (DOE)
Schedule: Mon-Fri 6AM -330PM


Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician I to join our Consumables Manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for hands-on production activities in compliance with safety protocols and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines, supporting the manufacturing and packaging of biosensor products.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain compliance with safety regulations, including proper use of PPE

  • Perform hands-on biosensor manufacturing activities including: cutting, clamping, gluing, coiling, polishing, biosensor coating, backfilling, and packaging

  • Execute all tasks in strict accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines

  • Stage and prepare production materials, including lot number assignment, printing batch records, and labels

  • Use ERP systems to open and close production work orders and issue materials

  • Utilize manufacturing equipment such as pipettes, balances, reagent filling machines, polishing, and coating machines

  • Perform final product packaging following Qualification Release

  • Support inventory management by executing physical counts, reviewing parts prior to storage, and timely completion of production orders

  • Report material non-conformities at any stage of the process

  • Assist with hazardous waste management and disposal activities

  • Learn and adopt new processes from New Product Introduction as needed

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certificate or diploma in Life Sciences is a plus

  • Basic dilution skills and reagent preparation are a plus

  • Proficiency with laboratory instruments, following SOPs, and documentation required

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills required

  • Intermediate skills with Excel and data management preferred

  • Experience with ERP system for work order entry and part issuance preferred
