 Production Operator
Pay Rate: $19.80/hr
Schedule: 2nd Shift (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM)
Location: Grayslake, IL

Overview:
We are seeking a reliable Production Operator to join our manufacturing team on the 2nd shift. This position offers competitive pay and the opportunity for full-time employment based on performance. Interview and resume required.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate manufacturing equipment to convert raw materials into finished products, following detailed instructions, work orders, and blueprints.

  • Maintain accurate inventory logs of raw materials used and materials in process.

  • Perform in-process tests (hardness, weight, variation, pH, moisture content) to verify product quality and compliance with specifications.

  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or product deficiencies, resolving issues to maintain optimal production levels.

  • Follow detailed blueprints, subassembly layouts, and schematics to ensure precise manufacturing.

  • Maintain records of orders received, work completed, and inventory status.

  • Balance workload, staffing, and equipment capacity to meet production inventory requirements.

  • Coordinate and monitor master production schedules by collaborating with materials planning, production, and maintenance teams.

  • Requisition materials based on production needs and delivery timelines.

Requirements:

  • Ability to read, write, and converse in English (instructions, work orders, and blueprints are in English).

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant on-the-job experience or vocational training in manufacturing or production operations.

  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures.

  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to recognize when deviation from established procedures is necessary.

  • Experience maintaining records and reporting production activity.

Skill Level:

  • Applies job skills and company procedures effectively, with potential to identify opportunities for improvement or necessary deviations from established practices.

Job Scope & Complexity:

  • Work involves varied and semi-routine tasks, requiring adaptability and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a production operator or similar manufacturing role.

  • Familiarity with in-process testing and inventory management systems.
