Forklift Operator – Kelly Services | Constantine, MI

We’re looking for dynamic, safety-focused Forklift Operators to join our team at a leading seed operations facility in Constantine, MI. Position: Forklift Operator
Location: Constantine, MI 49042
Schedule: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week (Weekly timesheets, Sunday start)
Pay: Starting at $21.00/hr (with opportunities for overtime and double-time)
What You’ll Do:
- Operate forklifts to move, stack, and organize products, equipment, and materials throughout the warehouse.
- Keep precise records of forklift inspections and follow all regulatory and safety requirements.
- Use warehouse management systems (WMS), PCs, and scanners for tracking and inventory.
- Assist with other manual tasks as needed, including sampling, inventory checks, and warehouse cleaning.
- Ensure efficient and quality loading/unloading of transport vehicles during seed delivery and return seasons.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace, and respond to emergency procedures if needed.
Who You Are:
- A self-starter with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
- Mechanically inclined or familiar with warehouse machinery (a plus!).
- Team-oriented and clear communicator.
- Experienced in forklift driving (certification is a huge plus)—warehouse experience also preferred.
- Able to count accurately, read scales, multitask, and stay alert in a busy setting.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and operating warehouse technology.
Physical Requirements & Attire:
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods, perform repetitive lifting, and safely operate forklifts all shift long.
- Steel-toe, over-the-ankle work boots required; hi-visibility hard hat, vest, gloves, and safety eyewear provided.
- Durable long pants and sleeved shirts required (no loose clothing).
