Job Title: Machine Operator
Hours: 40/week (6:00 am – 2:30 pm, Monday – Friday)
Pay Rate: $20.50/hour


Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join our Manufacturing & Production team. The ideal candidate will operate various CNC and specialized equipment, interpret drawings, and conduct visual inspections of sheet metal products. Flexibility and cross-training are essential for this team-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret technical drawings

  • Visually inspect sheet metal products

  • Operate/maintain Press Brake, CNC punch press, Fiber Optic lasers, and Haeger Pem machines

  • Set up, calibrate, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment

  • Troubleshoot and resolve machinery/process issues

  • Participate in production/process improvements

  • Follow strict audit and safety guidelines

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Minimum 3-6 months manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience

  • Background in precision mechanical operation/complex manufacturing preferred

  • Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, & continuous improvement a plus

Skills & Abilities

  • Team-oriented, with strong collaboration skills (team size: 8-10 colleagues)

  • Ability to work in a cleanroom using PPE

  • Proficiency (or willingness to learn) in operating various CNC equipment

  • Capable of using tape measures, calipers, or other measuring tools

  • Familiarity with Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access

  • Strong problem-solving skills, both independently and collaboratively

  • Self-motivated, well-organized, and reliable

  • Ability to lift 35 lbs

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to work with colleagues from diverse backgrounds
