Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: DOE

Shift: 2nd Shift, 3rd shift

2pm-10pm, OR 10PM-6PM

What’s a typical day as Logistics Specialist? You’ll be:

  • Providing outstanding customer service to internal and external customers by taking orders, giving pricing information, and performing consultative sales

  • Explaining services and benefits to customers to assist with procurement of capacity and generating business leads for the sales organization

  • Supporting new and existing customer accounts to foster business development

  • Creating orders, procuring loads, negotiating rates, and resolving freight-related issues

  • Updating customers regarding shipments via phone, email, and web-based channels

  • Facilitating effective communication with owner operators or outside agents to deliver cost-effective shipment solutions

  • Maintaining accuracy in order documentation and monitoring shipments to ensure on-time performance

  • Suggesting process improvements for continuous operational excellence

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent (required); a bachelor’s degree is preferred

  • Bring two years of industry experience (preferred)

  • Possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and are comfortable with computers

  • Are a strong communicator—both written and verbal—with great customer service and professional phone etiquette

  • Thrive in a fast-paced work environment and can effectively prioritize tasks

  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving, analytical, and active listening skills

  • Are a team player with a positive attitude and strong individual initiative
