Join Kelly® in partnership with our top optical client in Mason OH! We are looking for a dedicated Cash Application Specialist to accurately and efficiently process client self-bill files and incoming payments to customer invoices/accounts. This role includes research and resolution of data issues and requires coordination with both internal and external clients. You’ll join a team-oriented environment while also having the autonomy to work independently.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process simple to complex incoming payments to customer invoices/accounts promptly and accurately.

  • Research and resolve cash application issues using appropriate systems and collaborate with internal teams as needed.

  • Quickly adapt to changes from new systems, plans, and benefit designs.

  • Consistently meet/exceed business objectives for productivity, accuracy, and cycle time. Develop self-remediation plans with management if standards are not met.

  • Participate on department projects.

  • Identify and recommend improvements for efficiency and effectiveness in the cash application process.

  • Provide strong customer service and communication with internal and external clients.

  • Communicate and escalate issues in a timely manner to management.

  • Run assigned queries and reports weekly/monthly.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma.

  • 3+ years of experience in cash application or insurance-related processes.

  • SAP knowledge and experience.

  • High-level proficiency in MS Excel.

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and retain information.

  • Minimum keystroke requirement: 10,000 alpha and numeric per hour with less than 2% error rate.

  • Strong customer service and communication skills (oral and written).

  • Detail-oriented, able to work well under pressure, multitask, and prioritize issues.

  • Flexible in both team and individual work environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

  • Previous AS400 knowledge and experience.

  • Detailed working knowledge of basic computer operations/systems such as web-based search engines, Windows, and Microsoft Office products.

  • Prior experience or knowledge of vision benefits and/or the insurance industry.

  • Knowledge of mid-range computer applications and query reporting.

  • High level of confidentiality maintained.
