Quality Lab Technician 

Target Pay: $17.00 / hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 Pm

Position Type: temp-Hire

Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Quality Control Technician will be based out of the Houston, TX (77032) facility. This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity of both existing and new products through rigorous laboratory testing, meticulous record-keeping, and strict adherence to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Testing & Analysis: Perform comprehensive testing of products using advanced laboratory equipment; develop and prepare standard lab solutions.


  • Documentation: Maintain accurate, well-organized written and electronic laboratory records; verify correct labeling and documentation for internal and customer shipments.


  • Collaboration & Safety: Partner with production and quality teams to expedite record completion; actively participate in safety meetings and contribute to root-cause analysis for any laboratory incidents.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience: High school diploma (or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years of laboratory or manufacturing experience OR a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in a physical science (e.g., Chemistry, Materials Science).


  • Skills: Excellent oral/written communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Must be able to work independently.


  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and regularly lift/handle objects weighing up to 25 pounds.


  • Compliance: Must be able to clear standard background checks (7-year SSN trace and criminal locator) and a 10-panel instant swab drug screen.
