Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee our Personal Care products operation. In this role, you will ensure that manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring teams, organizing workflows, and optimizing day-to-day activities to minimize costs.
As an integral part of our fast-paced manufacturing environment, you must be competent in comprehending complex operations. The ultimate goal is to ensure production processes deliver maximum quality products in a safe and profitable manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety & Compliance: Promote a safety-first culture to foster an injury-free workplace. Follow and enforce established safety rules, regulations, and GMP guidelines. Respond to emergencies and notify management immediately.
- Operational Leadership: Monitor and lead day-to-day production. Work directly with the Production Manager to meet daily manufacturing targets.
- Process Efficiency: Continuous focus on workflow efficiencies and safety improvements. Collaborate directly with the Maintenance department to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
- Quality Assurance: Follow all SOPs and Work Instructions; monitor production to ensure all goods meet the highest quality standards. Communicate improvements and changes as required.
- Team Development: Train, assist, motivate, and mentor production employees on all SOPs (including filling, packing, changeover, and sanitation).
- Communication: Lead 1st shift tier meetings and clearly communicate daily production targets.
- Systems & Scheduling: Utilize SAP production knowledge to manage workflows. Maintain flexibility for overtime scheduling as required.
- Other Duties: Perform specific tasks and duties as requested by management.
Core Qualifications & Skills
- Operations: Production planning, time management, and process optimization.
- Quality & Safety: Strict attention to detail, quality control mindset, and a strong safety focus.
- Leadership: Team management, coaching, mentoring, and decisive decision-making.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Education & Experience
- Experience: 2–3 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment. Prior supervisory experience is required.
- Systems: Proficiency with SAP (production modules) is required.
- Education: High School Diploma required; a BS in Engineering is a plus.
- Languages: Bilingual in English/Spanish is highly preferred.
- Certifications (Plus): OSHA Safety certification, Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), or Certified Manufacturing Specialist (CMS) is a plus.
