Position Title: Machine Operator
Shift 1st & 3rd 
Pay range $19-21/hour

Position Purpose:
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating equipment, manufacturing, assembling, and packaging products while adhering to set standards and specifications across various processes, including assembly and printing. The operator will follow verbal and written directions from the Team Lead for daily assigned tasks and comply with all Freudenberg Medical standard operating procedures and other required documents. A condition of employment is to learn, abide by, and promote the Guiding Principles of the Freudenberg Group.


Essential Functions and Basic Duties:

  • Produce, package, and label all products to meet or exceed quality specifications as outlined in the job book.

  • Operate various manufacturing and measurement equipment in a safe and orderly manner, notifying the Team Lead of any operating problems or standards that cannot be met.

  • Meet or exceed all due dates assigned to the manufacturing process order.

  • Take responsibility for all products manufactured.

  • Understand the documentation system, including reading comprehension, writing, and accurately completing documents.

  • Assist engineering or manufacturing technicians with process validation, product, and tooling.

  • Follow gowning processes and procedures, maintaining a clean and presentable workstation.

  • Willing to train with no experince

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Manufacturing experience preferred.

Required Knowledge:

  • Understanding of the manufacturing work environment, quality standards, and use of hand tools.

  • Knowledge of material handling and proper use, including labeling.

  • Prefer knowledge of microscope functionality.

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Ability to comply with all policies, SOPs, work instructions, and quality regulations.

  • Ability to complete daily documentation accurately.

  • Maintain safety awareness at all times.

  • Maintain regular attendance.

  • Follow clean room protocols for hygiene, gowning, and PPE.

  • Work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement and GROWTTH initiatives.

  • Ability to become forklift certified, if needed.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform simple mathematics.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work involving walking, standing, pulling, grasping, talking, and hearing.

  • Repetitive motion required with close visual acuity and dexterity to assemble parts.

  • No adverse environmental conditions.

  • Ability to carry 30 lbs or less.
