Role Overview

Our client is hiring two Analysts for a long-term (5–7 year) smart meter installation initiative. The roles will start by tracking field operations and evolve into analyzing real-time smart meter data to drive proactive decision-making.

Location: 100% in Houston, TX 77002
Pay rate: $45 – $50 per hour
Work hours: Mon to Fri / 40hrs per week
Status: W2 contract under staffing with a 6-month duration (possible extension according to performance).
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Phase 1 (Operational): Collect, organize, and analyze active work order and field data (installation, repair, maintenance) to optimize workflows, standardize processes, and report on gas operations metrics.


  • Phase 2 (Technical): Analyze real-time smart meter data (pressure, temperature, leak indicators) to identify anomalies and diagnose whether issues are network-related or physical failures.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 2–4 years of experience; background in the utility or gas industry is a major plus.


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.


  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with MS Office, Power BI, and SAP</strong>; strong mathematical and accounting principles required.


  • Core Competencies: Excellent communication and time management, strong attention to detail, and knowledge of strategic planning and resource allocation.
