What’s a typical day as Production Maintenance Technician? You’ll be:
- Creating and maintaining robot and automation control programs for production equipment
- Implementing automation opportunities for cost savings and efficiency
- Maintaining and troubleshooting robotic, PLC/PC controllers, industrial networks (Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus), motor control systems, and electrical distribution systems
- Integrating new and existing equipment as needed for production
- Identifying, maintaining, and troubleshooting motor controls, VFDs, DC drives, and electrical components
- Troubleshooting and repairing industrial electrical systems (480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, 24VDC)
- Assisting with mechanical maintenance, including disassembling and reassembling production filling equipment
- Setting up production lines for specific products and making necessary adjustments
- Diagnosing and repairing a variety of plant equipment using hand tools, computer diagnostics, and problem-solving skills
- Performing carpentry, painting, and basic building maintenance tasks as required
- Operating scissor lifts and performing work in confined spaces as needed
- Logging all work performed and maintaining accurate records
- Ordering parts and maintaining regular communication with supervisors and team members
- Adhering to strict safety, health, environmental, GMP, and company policies
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have mechanical ability and hands-on experience with maintenance and repair in a production environment (required)
- Possess knowledge of Lockout/Tagout procedures, pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical, and electrical systems
- Have experience with MIG and TIG welding, as well as maintenance and repair of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Possess carpentry and basic building maintenance skills
- Can read and understand schematics, manuals, and building plans in English
- Are willing to work long hours and be available for call-ins as needed
- Are committed to working safely and effectively as part of a team
