Job Description:
Support calibration verification activities for electronic dosimetry equipment within an NVLAP-accredited service environment.
Perform functional testing, calibration verification, troubleshooting, and documentation of electronic radiation monitoring devices.
Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards, procedures, and accreditation requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform calibration verification and functional testing of electronic dosimeters and related radiation detection instrumentation.
Execute established procedures in accordance with NVLAP accreditation requirements and internal quality systems.
Review instrument performance data and document calibration verification results accurately.
Maintain calibration records, service documentation, and traceability requirements.
Assist with troubleshooting, inspection, and minor repair activities for dosimetry equipment.
Verify equipment meets operational specifications and customer requirements prior to release.
Support audits, proficiency testing, and continuous improvement initiatives related to accredited services.
Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and equipment readiness.
Follow radiation safety, EHS, and quality compliance procedures at all times.
Communicate testing status, nonconformances, and equipment issues to supervisors or engineering staff.
Required Qualifications:
Associate degree in electronics, engineering technology, physics, or related technical field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
Atleast 1 year experience working with electronic test equipment, instrumentation, or calibration environments.
Ability to follow detailed technical procedures and work instructions.
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
Basic computer proficiency, including data entry and record management.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting ISO/IEC 17025 or NVLAP-accredited laboratory operations.
Familiarity with radiation detection instrumentation or dosimetry equipment.
Experience with calibration methodologies, traceability, and quality systems.
Knowledge of electronic troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques.
Excellent communication skills.
Work Environment:
Laboratory and technical service environment.
May require handling of sensitive electronic instrumentation and occasional lifting of equipment.
Use of PPE and adherence to radiation safety protocols required.
