Pay Rate: $17.61/hr
Shift: 1st shift – 7:00am to 3:30pm 
Monday-Friday 
Temp to Hire (Onsite)
Location: Fairview, NC 

Position:
Kelly Services is seeking candidates for an Assembly Operator I position at our Fairview, NC facility, specializing in the manufacturing of relays and switches for the aerospace industry. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble components which may require the use of microscopes, small hand tools, and specific fixtures.

  • Inspect work to ensure quality using established standards and work instructions.

  • Conduct pull tests for designated operations as needed.

  • Measure components using calipers, gauges, or other measuring tools.

  • Inspect products according to technical drawings.

  • Complete necessary paperwork to maintain product traceability.

  • Perform minor troubleshooting and repairs on equipment.

  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the work area.

  • Adhere to all operational, departmental, and safety guidelines and policies.

  • May be assigned other tasks as required.

  • Read and perform tasks according to provided drawings and instructions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

  • Minimum of one year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Basic computer skills preferred.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Ability to interpret product blueprints preferred.

  • Experience using measuring instruments (such as gauges and calipers) preferred.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments.

  • Willing and able to work overtime as production needs require.

  • Able to lift/move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 75% of the time.

  • Capable of operating machinery and moving between work zones.

  • Proficient in understanding and following written instructions in English.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States as required under International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR): U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee.
