Manufacturing Engineer II
Location: Byhalia, MS
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
Shift: 1st Shift
Contract Duration: July 27-December 24, 2026 possibly longer
Pay Rate: $35.38-63.71

What’s a typical day as a Manufacturing Engineer II? You’ll be:
• Coordinating, cataloging, and tracking manufacturing equipment
• Using Jabil systems to support equipment purchasing and related documentation
• Assisting with the creation and updating of visual aids for operators
• Directing and coordinating tasks for other team members as needed
• Physically marking/taping floors and designated locations for equipment, materials, and production items
• Moving items and supporting layout/setup needs within the facility
• Assisting with receiving trucks and signing off on deliveries
• Supporting production readiness by helping ensure equipment, materials, and locations are properly organized
• Communicating with managers, customers, clients, operators, and other internal teams
• Collecting information, identifying issues, and helping develop practical solutions
• Reading and following visual aids, simple instructions, memos, and correspondence
• Using computer systems, spreadsheets, and Windows-based software to complete job duties
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have manufacturing, engineering, project coordination, equipment coordination, or production support experience
• Are comfortable working both on the production floor and on a computer
• Have strong PC skills and the ability to learn internal software systems
• Can define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Are comfortable presenting information and answering questions from managers, customers, clients, or team members
• Can read and understand visual aids, instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Have basic math skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
• Can compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and draw or interpret graphs
• Are organized, hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable helping with physical setup tasks when needed
• Can work independently while also supporting team members and production needs
