Production Assembler
Location: Largo, FL 33773
Shift: 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift
Compensation: $17.00 – $20.00 / hr


Purpose:
Operate machines and perform assembly operations to produce high-quality parts and products according to established procedures and specifications.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operate pre-set manual machines to manufacture parts following defined processes and instructions.

  • Assemble, label, and package sterile and non-sterile products, ensuring all standards are met.

  • Read and follow written and verbal instructions as well as basic blueprints or mechanical drawings (after training).

  • Use basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to inspect work and ensure compliance with specifications, including microscope use as required.

  • Set up and operate packaging equipment.

  • Identify and report manufacturing or machining issues to ensure production of defect-free parts.

  • Complete required documentation accurately, including labeling and production records.

  • Perform and assist with basic preventative maintenance on equipment, machines, and tools.

  • Adhere to PPE and clean room gowning requirements as necessary.

  • Support other duties and special projects as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills Requirements

  • Ability to follow detailed verbal and written instructions.

  • Basic understanding of blueprint or mechanical drawing reading (willing to train).

  • Basic shop math skills.

  • Ability to operate production machinery and measurement equipment accurately.

  • Strong manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail.

  • Basic English reading, writing, and comprehension skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience in manufacturing, machine operation, assembly, or packaging.

  • Experience using calipers, micrometers, or other measurement tools is preferred.
