Position: Inspector
Location: Grand Rapids, MI (Bus Route Accessible)
Job Type: Hourly
Pay Rate: $16/hour + $0.75 Shift Premium for 2nd Shift
Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday-Thursday | 3 PM – 11 PM
Training: 1st Shift for approximately 30 days, Monday – Thursday, 5 AM – 3:30 PM

Summary:
Join our production team as an Inspector, where you’ll play a vital role in ensuring all parts meet strict quality standards. You will be responsible for inspection, racking, sorting, packaging, and labeling, requiring strong attention to detail and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect production parts and identify/categorize plating defects with precision

  • Accurately enter inspection data into computer systems

  • Communicate findings and requirements to supervisors, quality personnel, and team members

  • Continuously learn new parts, processes, and production requirements

  • Operate equipment according to procedures

  • Transport, organize, and package materials, ensuring proper labeling for shipment

  • Comply with procedures for material handling, inventory, and sorting

  • Efficiently rack products to plating racks following all specifications

  • Support racking, sorting, and other production tasks as needed

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent organizational abilities

  • Basic computer system proficiency

  • High attention to detail

Working Conditions:

  • Adherence to all safety requirements in production/inspection areas

  • Standing, walking, bending, or lifting throughout the shift

  • Ability to lift/move materials as needed

  • Frequent repetitive motions and exposure to varying temperature environments

Health & Safety Requirements:

  • Consistent compliance with all safety and company policies

  • Prompt reporting of safety concerns and equipment issues

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

  • Never bypass safety protocols or operate equipment unsafely

  • Always promote professionalism and workplace safety
