Dover, NH | Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Salary: $30.00-32.00 an hour

Personal injury or litigation experience is strongly preferred, but we are also interested in candidates with strong legal assistant experience who are eager to expand their knowledge and responsibilities.
What You’ll Do

  • Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys throughout the life of a case.

  • Assist with personal injury and litigation matters from initial intake through resolution.

  • Prepare, proofread, organize, and maintain legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, motions, and other case materials.

  • Assist with discovery by organizing requests, responses, documents, and supporting materials.

  • Request, receive, organize, and maintain medical records and related documentation.

  • Communicate professionally with clients, insurance companies, medical providers, court personnel, and opposing counsel.

  • Assist with coordinating medical appointments and evaluations.

  • Organize case files, exhibits, medical records, correspondence, and other documentation.

  • Maintain accurate case management records and ensure documents are properly filed and accessible.

  • Assist with electronic filing of legal documents with New Hampshire State and Federal Courts.

  • Track case deadlines, appointments, court dates, and other important case milestones.

  • Assist attorneys with preparation for hearings, depositions, mediation, and trial.

  • Maintain attorney calendars and coordinate meetings, appointments, and deadlines.

  • Conduct basic research and gather information as requested by attorneys.

  • Handle confidential client information with professionalism and discretion.

  • Provide general administrative support to the legal team as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • 1–3+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or similar role in a law firm environment.

  • Personal injury, civil litigation, or insurance-related experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience supporting attorneys with case files, legal documentation, and client communication.

  • Familiarity with medical records, insurance claims, discovery, and litigation processes is a plus.

  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong proofreading and document preparation abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple cases, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Professional and compassionate communication skills when working with clients.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.

  • Experience with Filevine or other legal case management software is a plus.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
