Job Title: Precision Assembler
Job Duration: 6+ months (Possible extension)
Location: Mentor, OH – 44060
Pay rate: $18.25/hrs. on W2
Shift:
2nd shift, Monday – Friday (2:30 PM to 10:30 PM)
2nd shift, Monday-Thursday (3:30 PM to 1:30 AM)
Position Summary
- As a Precision Assembler, you will perform assembly work at a workstation or on a production line to manufacture medical devices in an FDA-regulated and controlled environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform assembly functions using various hand tools and bench-top pneumatic presses while consistently meeting or exceeding production targets.
- Handle and inspect small components throughout the manufacturing process to ensure quality standards are met.
- Notify the Team Lead of any issues related to production, parts, equipment, or processes.
- Operate equipment required to perform assigned duties.
- Follow all shop practices, including proper gowning, use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to standard work procedures.
- Submit Safety Observations through the Safety Program and improvement suggestions through the Ideas Program.
- Update the Hour-by-Hour Board and complete Pareto charts.
- Meet quality assurance requirements, complete Device History Records (DHRs), and perform process monitoring.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of experience assembling small parts.
- At least 1 year of experience crimping and gluing small parts.
- At least 1 year of experience performing material replenishment duties.
- At least 1 year of experience conducting in-process inspections.
- At least 1 year of experience completing parts and equipment changeovers.
