Shift: 1st shift — 7:00am to 3:30pm
Pay Rate: $17.61/hr

Kelly Services is hiring for an Assembly Operator I position at its Fairview, NC facility. The Assembly Operator I is responsible for component assembly and may require the use of a microscope, small hand tools, and fitting components into fixtures. This job involves following work instructions and maintaining attention to detail to ensure high-quality parts for customers. Teamwork, eagerness to learn, and commitment to quality are essential for this role. All team members are expected to keep their work area organized and follow all environmental health and safety policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspect own work using quality standards and work instructions

  • Conduct pull tests as needed for specific operations

  • Measure components using calipers, gages, or other measuring devices

  • Inspect product according to specifications

  • Complete necessary operational paperwork to maintain product traceability

  • Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to equipment, as needed

  • Maintain general housekeeping of the work area

  • Follow company and department guidelines, procedures, and policies

  • Practice all safety guidelines

  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned

  • Read and perform tasks according to engineering drawings

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred

  • Minimum of one year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

  • Basic computer skills preferred

  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to interpret product blueprints preferred

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work

  • Experience with measuring devices (gages, calipers, etc.) preferred

  • Willingness and availability to work overtime to support production goals

  • Ability to move materials weighing up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position up to 75% of the time

  • Ability to operate machinery and move between work zones as needed

  • Proficiency and understanding of written instructions in English required
