Pay Rate: $17.61/hr

Position Overview:
Kelly Services is hiring for a leading manufacturer of relays and switches for the aerospace industry is seeking candidates for the Assembly Operator I position at the Fairview, NC facility. Assembly Operator I is responsible for component assembly, which may require the use of a microscope, small hand tools, and fitting components into fixtures. Following work instructions and maintaining quality are essential to the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect own work using established quality standards and work instructions.
- Conduct pull tests as needed for specific operations.
- Measure components using calipers, gages, or other measuring devices.
- Inspect products according to technical prints.
- Complete necessary operational paperwork to maintain product traceability.
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to equipment as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
- Follow company and departmental guidelines, procedures, and safety policies.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
- Read and complete tasks according to drawings and blueprints.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of one year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Basic computer skills preferred.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to interpret product blueprints preferred.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Experience with measuring devices such as gages and calipers is a plus.
- Availability to work overtime to support production goals as needed.
- Ability to move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
- Ability to operate machinery and move between work zones.
- Proficient in understanding written instructions in English.
Additional Requirements:
This position requires access to information subject to strict regulations under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
