Assembly Operator 1

Shift: 1st shift, 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday-Friday
Pay Rate: $17.61/hr

Position Overview:
Kelly Services is hiring for a leading manufacturer of relays and switches for the aerospace industry is seeking candidates for the Assembly Operator I position at the Fairview, NC facility. Assembly Operator I is responsible for component assembly, which may require the use of a microscope, small hand tools, and fitting components into fixtures. Following work instructions and maintaining quality are essential to the role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect own work using established quality standards and work instructions.
  

• Conduct pull tests as needed for specific operations.
  

• Measure components using calipers, gages, or other measuring devices.
  

• Inspect products according to technical prints.
  

• Complete necessary operational paperwork to maintain product traceability.
  

• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to equipment as needed.
  

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
  

• Follow company and departmental guidelines, procedures, and safety policies.
  

• Perform all other related duties as assigned.
  

• Read and complete tasks according to drawings and blueprints.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
  

• Minimum of one year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  

• Basic computer skills preferred.
  

• Good communication skills.
  

• Ability to interpret product blueprints preferred.
  

• Ability to multitask and prioritize.
  

• Experience with measuring devices such as gages and calipers is a plus.
  

• Availability to work overtime to support production goals as needed.
  

• Ability to move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  

• Able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
  

• Ability to operate machinery and move between work zones.
  

• Proficient in understanding written instructions in English.
