Optical Receptionist – $18.00-$20.00/hr – Canandaigua, NY
At Kelly® Professional & Industrial, we’re seeking an experienced Optical Receptionist to join a busy and well-established eye care practice in Canandaigua, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced medical and retail environment.
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday | Office hours are approximately 7:45 AM-5:30 PM (until 6:00 PM on Thursdays)
Pay:
- $18.00-$20.00/hour (Based on experience)
What You’ll Do:
- Welcome patients and provide outstanding customer service
- Coordinate patient flow within the optical department
- Schedule appointments and manage daily patient scheduling
- Verify insurance eligibility
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist with patient inquiries
- Support the day-to-day operations of the optical department
- Navigate multiple computer systems while maintaining accurate patient information
- Work collaboratively with the optical and medical teams to ensure an exceptional patient experience
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous receptionist, medical office, optical, healthcare, or customer service experience preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong computer and typing skills
- Professional phone etiquette
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude with a team-oriented mindset
