Position Title: Molding Operator I
Location: Greensboro, NC
Pay Rate: $19.70 per hour
Work Schedule: 2nd Shift, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Position Summary
The Molding Operator I is responsible for operating and maintaining injection-molding presses, performing product inspections, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. This entry-level position plays a vital role in the production process, ensuring products meet customer and company requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain injection-molding equipment according to standard operating procedures.
- Conduct visual inspections of molded products, ensuring quality standards are met per the Quality Inspection Plan (QIP) and mold book specifications.
- Properly package finished products in accordance with packing process sheets.
- Accurately complete all required production paperwork, including reporting on output, scrap, downtime, equipment issues, and labor hours.
- Perform weight counting, fill totes, and label product to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Transfer product between process steps as required.
- Load and unload components into/out of molds, depending on equipment automation level.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety and housekeeping standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- No prior relevant experience required; training will be provided.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and established procedures.
- Basic math and counting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
