Metal Cutting Associate
Pay: $18/hour
Shift: 6:00am–3:30pm, Monday–Friday
Overview:
Join our team as a Metal Cutting Associate! You’ll cut and prepare metal components used in glass fabrication, ensuring quality, accuracy, and safety on every project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Set up and safely operate metal cutting equipment (manual and CNC).
- Measure, mark, and cut metal to exact specifications.
- Inspect materials for defects and check accuracy of finished components.
- Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and report issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
- Work closely with team members and communicate production needs and concerns.
Quality & Safety:
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Maintain quality standards on all production and finished materials.
- Participate in safety initiatives and offer feedback for improvements.
Requirements:
- Experience in metal cutting or manufacturing preferred.
- Ability to read technical drawings and use measurement tools.
- Good mechanical skills and attention to detail.
- Able to stand, lift, and do repetitive tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training is a plus).
- Team player with a positive attitude.
