Pay Rate: $23.00/hour
Schedule:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Wednesday, Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Employment Type: Temporary with potential for Temp-to-Hire for strong performers

Position Summary
Kelly® is hiring an Administrative Coordinator to support transportation operations for a client in Kent, WA. This role provides administrative and dispatch support in a fast-paced freight environment, assisting with scheduling, tracking, billing, documentation, and communication between drivers, service centers, and internal teams.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working in a high-volume transportation setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Create freight manifest lists using applicable coding.
- Assist dispatchers with assigning pickup and delivery drivers for local and road delivery activities.
- Maintain city dispatch sheets and communicate driver updates regarding pickup and delivery issues.
- Support dispatch operations as needed.
- Handle scheduling, tracking, tracing, and billing activities.
- Assist with coordinating Line Haul drivers through computer systems and phone communication with service centers.
- Support timely freight movement while meeting service standards.
- Communicate with Line Haul Supervisors, Operations Planners, Service Center personnel, Operations leadership, and drivers.
- Assist with Line Haul activities and dispatch planning.
- Support dispatch planning to meet cost and service goals.
- Maintain shipment counts and verify against bills of lading, documenting discrepancies.
- Investigate and resolve overages, shortages, and damaged freight issues, including hazardous materials when applicable.
- Prepare paperwork and assist with repacking over, short, and damaged (OS&D) freight.
- Maintain accurate records and reporting for OS&D issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized OS&D area.
- Provide guidance and support to less experienced clerical staff.
- Assist with training and answering employee questions as needed.
- Maintain employee files, payroll records, and filing systems when assigned.
- Assist with new hire paperwork, payroll changes, and employee documentation.
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
- Ability to solve problems using established procedures and independent judgment.
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow written procedures, safety rules, and operating manuals.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug/alcohol testing, and background check.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred
- Transportation, logistics, freight, dispatch, or shipping/receiving experience.
- Experience with AS400 systems.
- Experience with billing, tracing, pricing, customer care, or dispatch operations.

- Frequent use of hands for typing, handling documents, and operating equipment.
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or move items weighing 20+ pounds.
- Ability to work around warehouse/freight operations, including moving equipment and varying noise levels.
