Production Technician I — 3rd Shift
Corteva Agriscience LLC is seeking Production Technicians to support seed production operations at its Grand Rapids, Ohio facility.
This is not a temp-to-hire position.

- Schedule: 10-hour shifts, approximately 50 hours per week
- Schedule Flexibility: Candidates must be available to work other shifts if needed. Shift start times may vary, and some weekend work may be required.

- Required Equipment: 6-inch safety-toe work boots
- Driving: Not required
Compensation
- Base Pay: $18.00 per hour
- 2nd-Shift Differential: Additional $3.00 per hour, when applicable
- 3rd-Shift Differential: Additional $2.00 per hour, when applicable
Job Description
Production Technicians perform a variety of manufacturing and warehouse duties related to seed production and harvest operations. Responsibilities may include operating machinery, performing inspections, moving materials, and supporting general production activities.
Forklift operation will be an important part of this role. Some employees will operate forklifts regularly, while others may receive training and perform a combination of forklift, warehouse, and production duties. Employees will primarily use sit-down forklifts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform production-related tasks in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.
- Support harvest and seed production operations.
- Inspect products and materials for quality, damage, or irregularities.
- Operate a sit-down forklift to move materials and products as needed.
- Load, unload, stage, and transport materials throughout the facility.
- Follow work instructions, safety procedures, and site policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Work effectively during extended shifts, weekends, and changing start times.
- Perform other duties related to production and warehouse operations as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse, production, harvest, or inspection work preferred.
- Forklift certification or previous forklift experience is a strong plus.
- Candidates without forklift certification may be trained.
- Ability to safely operate or learn to operate a sit-down forklift.
- Ability to perform physical work in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Strong attention to detail when performing inspections.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
- Reliable attendance and willingness to work 3rd shift, overtime, and occasional weekends.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical and Work Environment
- Primarily a warehouse and manufacturing environment.
- Position may require standing, walking, lifting, bending, reaching, and operating equipment for extended periods.
- Work may include forklift operation and general material-handling duties.
- Employees must provide and wear approved 6-inch safety-toe work boots.
