Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Inspector responsible for visually inspecting filled products off the filling line, in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). The Production Inspector will work in the Capping Department and in the off-line inspection area, requiring thorough knowledge of procedures and equipment in each area.
Key Responsibilities
- Visually inspect products for various defects.
- Accurately and timely document inspections and findings.
- Comply with current SOPs and cGMPs.
- Set up, adjust, and operate equipment such as inspection machines and cappers.
- Perform and document critical start-up procedures (e.g., filter integrity tests, line clearance, component verification).
- Perform and document quality checks on products.
- Calculate percent defective from inspection results and reconcile components with batch records.
- Load and unload vials from turntables; stack, wrap, and move pallets of product.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–3 years of pharmaceutical experience preferred.
- Basic math skills (multiplication/division) required.
- Strong visual ability to detect defective vials.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Must maintain acceptable visual acuity and be able to meet visual inspection qualification requirements.
