Location: Malden, MA
Payrate: $22/hour
Temp to perm
Purpose:
This position is responsible for achieving the customer satisfaction goals of the department by repairing and refurbishing equipment in a timely, professional, and complete manner. The Service Technician works under the general supervision of the Service Shop Team Leader.
Job Responsibilities:
- Possess a basic understanding of all brands and configurations of equipment offered by New England Coffee Company, including coffee, tea, and related allied product preparation equipment.
- Familiar with wiring schematics and levels of mechanics (plumbing and electrical).
- Possess basic diagnostic skills.
- Troubleshoot customer equipment and technical problems with members of the sales force over the telephone.
- Proactively detect and correct potential problems before they occur.
- Complete clear and accurate work orders documenting service provided, parts used, and results.
- Perform related duties as assigned by the Equipment Supervisor.
- Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety training. Maintain safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and personnel. Report any injury or accident immediately to the supervisor and/or any unsafe condition.
- Ensure the operation provides food-safe, quality products that meet or exceed all product specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Maintain a clean driving record.
