Job Posting: Warehouse Assistant to Slitter Operator
Pay: $18.50–$19.50/hr
Location: West Chicago, Illinois 60185 (near Warrenville; about an hour from Chicago)
Shift: 6am – 230pm

Job Type: Possible Temporary to Hire


Job Summary
Kelly Services is looking for a motivated and reliable Warehouse Assistant to support our Slitter Operator on the production floor in West Chicago. This is a hands-on role for someone who values teamwork, stays organized, and thrives in a dynamic warehouse environment.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Accurately prepare and label finished rolls for production orders

  • Make cores as directed by operator specifications

  • Prep the production area with proper skids and flooring to protect rolls

  • Move skids efficiently to the slitter for stacking

  • Organize and handle rolls from the slitter to skids in a systematic manner

  • Verify pick lists match roll counts for quality

  • Safely transport heavy rolls using lifts or request help when necessary

  • Pull rolls from stock inventory as needed

  • Remove scrap materials and transport to the compactor

  • (If forklift certified) Move skids to the shipping prep area

  • Maintain a clean work zone with dust mops or floor scrubbers

  • Assist with other tasks as assigned by management

Safety & Protection Wear
Footwear: Steel toe or similar protective footwear required at all times
Back Support: Company-furnished back support provided
Hearing Protection: Required during work
