Sub Assembler – 2nd Shift
Hartford, WI
Monday – Thursday | 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM
Pay: $22.50/hour + $2.00/hour Shift Premium ($24.50/hour Total)
Kelly Services is currently hiring a Sub Assembler for a leading manufacturing company in Hartford, WI. This is an excellent opportunity for mechanically inclined candidates who enjoy hands-on assembly work and want to join a clean, modern, and highly automated manufacturing environment.
In this role, you’ll support production by assembling door components, preparing materials, inspecting finished products, and assisting in various assembly departments as needed. What You’ll Do
- Assemble door components and manufactured parts according to production schedules
- Support multiple assembly areas, including side column assembly and panel preparation
- Read blueprints, work orders, bills of materials, and work instructions to ensure accurate assembly
- Pull and organize stock components, hardware, and manufactured parts
- Inspect assemblies to ensure product quality and accuracy
- Stage completed products for the next step in the manufacturing process
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages
- Troubleshoot assembly issues and work with team members to resolve them
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Support production needs across different departments as required
What We’re Looking For
- Previous assembly or manufacturing experience preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools
- Ability to read a tape measure and use measuring tools accurately
- Experience using drills, impact drivers, and other assembly tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read blueprints, reports, and work instructions
- Electrical assembly experience is considered an asset
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 25 to 50 lbs occasionally
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, and kneeling
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with elevated noise levels
- Comfortable working around dust, dirt, fumes, and manufacturing equipment
