What’s a typical day as Litho Press Operator? You’ll be:
- Operating the feeder on a printing press and assisting the Press Operator II-Lead with daily tasks.
- Preparing the press with required materials, inks, solvents, and ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and used safely.
- Keeping the press and work area clean at all times by following 5S practices.
- Monitoring and inspecting orders for defects, notifying the press operator as needed.
- Monitoring fountain solution and ink levels, and ensuring consistent production quality.
- Thoroughly cleaning the press while using proper protective equipment.
- Assisting with weekly and monthly maintenance, including preventative maintenance, lubrication, replacement or adjustment of parts and rollers, and maintenance of the UV system.
- Ensuring proper handling and disposal of hazardous chemicals in compliance with safety regulations.
- Adhering to all quality, safety, security, and audit compliance rules.
