Medical Laboratory Scientist I – Auto-Chemistry

Location: Dallas-Fort Worth, TX Metroplex
Industry: Diagnostic
Pay Range: $29.50 – $34.00 per hour (Plus shift differentials!)

  • Shift Differentials:

    • 10% standard shift differential

    • 15% weekend shift differential

Shift & Compensation Details

  • Shifts Available:

    • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

    • 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Position Overview
Join a Fortune 500 company leading the world in diagnostic information services! Currently recruiting for a Medical Laboratory Scientist I specializing in Auto-Chemistry, welcoming candidates ranging from entry-level to experienced professionals.
Job Responsibilities

  • Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, test analyses, result reporting, and record maintenance.

  • Maintain records demonstrating that proficiency testing samples are tested identically to patient specimens.

  • Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures.

  • Review and release test results accurately.

  • Comply with CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and all applicable safety guidelines.

  • Follow established policies and procedures when test systems fall outside acceptable performance levels.

  • Identify and correct problems affecting test performance or reporting or immediately notify senior technologists/supervisors.

Qualifications

  • Education: BS/BA in Chemistry or Biochemistry is required.

  • Work Experience: 1 year of clinical experience (high complexity testing) in Auto-Chemistry.
