Machine Operator – Cores
First Shift – 7-430
Pay Rate – $18 / hour
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to operate core-making equipment in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating machinery, producing quality cores according to specifications, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate core-making machines and related manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Set up, adjust, and monitor machinery according to production requirements.

  • Load and unload materials and components used in the core-making process.

  • Inspect finished cores for quality, dimensions, and defects.

  • Follow work instructions, production schedules, and established quality standards.

  • Make minor machine adjustments as needed and report equipment problems to maintenance or supervision.

  • Maintain accurate production and quality records.

  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.

  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.

  • Assist with material handling, packaging, and other production activities as needed.

  • Work effectively as part of a production team while meeting productivity and quality goals.

Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing or machine-operating experience preferred.

  • Experience with core-making, foundry, molding, or similar industrial equipment is a plus.

  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and basic measurements.

  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn machine operation and adjustments.

  • Good attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

  • Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials as required.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Work Environment
This position is performed in a manufacturing/production environment and may involve exposure to machinery, noise, dust, heat, and industrial materials. Appropriate personal protective equipment is required
