Press Operator – Core Department
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM  (Temp to Hire)
Compensation: $20.00 per hour plus a $100 weekly bonus for perfect attendance
Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and mechanically skilled Core Assembler to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling transformer cores, installing brackets and hardware, and operating a drill press to prepare components in alignment with engineering specifications and quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assemble transformer core components using hand and power tools.
  

• Operate a drill press to drill holes and prepare parts for assembly.
  

• Install brackets, clamps, and related hardware on transformer cores.
  

• Read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, and assembly drawings.
  

• Verify measurements and ensure parts meet quality standards.
  

• Inspect completed assemblies for accuracy and defects.
  

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  

• Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.
  

• Assist with additional manufacturing and assembly duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous assembly or manufacturing experience is required.
  

• Experience operating a drill press or similar machinery is required.
  

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as necessary.
  

• Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  

• Strong commitment to safety and quality.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing and production facility setting.
  

• Exposure to moving machinery, metal components, and industrial equipment.
  

• Steel-toed shoes are recommended.
