Sanitation Technician – Overnight Shift
Pay Rate: $23.00/hour?Shift: Monday–Thursday, 11:00 PM–7:30 AM and Saturdays, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM?Hours may vary based on business needs.

Required: Steel-toe boots and ability to read, write, and communicate in English or Spanish.

Position Overview
This is not a janitorial position. The Sanitation Technician plays a critical role in food production by performing deep cleaning and sanitation of manufacturing equipment used in the production process. This is a physically demanding, detail-oriented role that requires dismantling, cleaning, sanitizing, and reassembling production equipment to meet strict food safety and quality standards.
Technicians clean large processing kettles, product transfer lines, and other food manufacturing equipment using specialized chemicals, power washers, and sanitation procedures. All equipment must pass Quality Assurance inspections before being returned to service.

Key Responsibilities
Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble food production equipment.
Clean large processing kettles, piping systems, and filling equipment.
Follow SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures) and food safety requirements.
Operate CIP (Clean-in-Place) systems and assist with milk silo cleaning.
Safely handle sanitation chemicals and follow dilution requirements.
Complete sanitation logs, inspection records, and required documentation.
Follow all PPE, GMP, and workplace safety procedures.
Assist with emergency cleaning situations and support other departments as needed.
Maintain sanitation standards required for QA approval and production readiness.

Qualifications
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
Mechanically inclined with the ability to dismantle and reassemble equipment.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Knowledge of sanitation procedures, chemical handling, and safety practices.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety.
Comfortable working around water, chemicals, and varying temperatures.
Ability to stand for the entire shift.

Work Environment
Physically demanding and repetitive work.
Frequent use of power washers, sanitation chemicals, and specialized PPE.
Exposure to hot and cold temperatures.
Manufacturing environment with moderate to high noise levels.
Standing, bending, lifting, scrubbing, and equipment cleaning throughout the shift.
