Location: Port Wentworth, GA (Savannah Port Area)
Pay Rate: $21.00 – $22.00/hour + Weekly Overtime (Paid Every Friday)

Job Type: Full-time, Temp-to-Hire
Are you an experienced equipment operator who excels at handling unpalletized freight? Kelly Services is immediately hiring skilled Clamp Forklift Operators in Port Wentworth, GA.
If you have hands-on experience stripping floor-loaded shipping containers and maneuvering carton clamps, we have immediate openings with competitive weekly pay and steady hours.
Shift Options & Pay Rates
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM | $21.00/hr
- 2nd Shift: 6:00 PM – 2:30 AM | $22.00/hr
- Schedule & Overtime: Monday – Friday with mandatory weekend shifts and extended 10–12 hour shifts during peak season. Excellent opportunity for candidates looking to maximize their weekly paycheck with OT.

What You’ll Do
- Container Stripping & Unloading: Safely gut and unload floor-loaded, unpalletized shipping containers directly onto the dock or staging lanes.
- Precision Handling: Utilize box/carton clamp attachments to lift, transport, and stack non-palletized corrugated freight without product damage.
- Equipment Adjustment: Calibrate clamp hydraulic pressure settings according to carton density, package strength, and load weight.
- Dock Safety & Inspection: Perform daily OSHA pre-shift forklift inspections, battery/propane checks, and maintain a clear, hazard-free staging area.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 2+ Years of Dedicated Clamp Experience: Documented background operating box clamps, carton clamps, or squeeze clamps.
- Recent Seat Time: Must have operated a clamp truck within the last 12 months.
- Floor-Loaded Container Experience: Direct experience stripping/destuffing floor-stacked freight (non-palletized).
- Hands-on Assessment: Ability to pass a mandatory on-site driving, stacking, and clamp pressure test.
- Equipment Knowledge: Prior experience running UniCarriers propane box clamps is a strong advantage.
- Reliability: Dependable transportation, punctual attendance, and willingness to work mandatory peak overtime/weekends.
