Inspection Associate – Custom Glass Production
Location: Southeast Grand Rapids, MI
Pay: $19.50/hour
Schedule: Mon-Thurs, 3:00pm–1:45am (First day start time: 2:00pm)

Kelly® Services is seeking motivated Inspection Associates to join a leading custom glass manufacturing team in Southeast Grand Rapids. If you are detail-oriented and ready to grow your skills in manufacturing and quality, this is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and advance your career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect painted and fabricated glass components for quality standards and customer specifications

  • Identify scratches, chips, color variations, shape differences, and other defects

  • Review drawings, work instructions, and customer requirements

  • Use measurement tools, including tape measures, digital gauges, and templates

  • Accurately record inspection results and report quality concerns

  • Perform quality checks throughout the production process

  • Collaborate with production team members and supervisors to resolve quality issues

  • Support process improvements and internal quality audits

  • Organize packaging materials and assist with packing and moving finished products

  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work space

  • Support additional production activities and contribute to a positive team environment

Qualifications:

  • High attention to detail and ability to identify product defects

  • Ability to follow instructions, drawings, and specifications

  • Experience with inspection or measurement tools preferred

  • Previous manufacturing, quality inspection, or glass production experience is a plus

  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

  • Safety-focused and eager to learn new skills

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift/move glass materials

  • Comfortable working in a production environment with required PPE
