Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a 9-month contract opportunity with a manufacturing business in Pine Brook, NJ. This role offers the opportunity to support a $50M manufacturing operation, with responsibilities spanning financial reporting, project accounting, revenue recognition, and cost accounting.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, manufacturing experience, and a drive to improve accounting processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.

  • Support percentage-of-completion (POC) accounting and revenue recognition under US GAAP and IFRS.

  • Analyze general ledger activity and perform balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations to review project costs, inventory, and gross margin performance.

  • Assist with audits, internal controls, and financial compliance.

  • Identify process improvements and support ERP system enhancements.

  • Provide support for accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and financial reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

  • 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting and/or manufacturing.

  • Experience with manufacturing cost accounting and percentage-of-completion accounting.

  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, IFRS, and internal controls.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Power BI, SQL, or M3 ERP.

  • Knowledge of IFRS 15, ASC 606, and IFRS 16.

  • Experience with financial system implementations or process improvement initiatives.

  • CPA preferred.

Position Details

  • Location: Pine Brook, NJ

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5 days on-site

  • Duration: 9-month contract

  • Pay Rate: $50–$62 per hour, based on experience
