Pay Rate: $21.62/Hr. Temp-Hire
M–F, 8–5; Hybrid: remote but in the office as needed
About the Job
Support AZASRS Financial & Employer Services by calculating pension and related benefits. This role processes complex retirement, survivor, and account adjustments while ensuring data integrity and compliance with IRS regulations.
Duties/Responsibilities
• Accurately process retirement, survivor, and account-adjustment benefit calculations.
• Maintain data integrity and apply IRS regulations to payouts and reporting.
• Research and verify financial transactions, reporting systems, and member information.
• Communicate with employers to verify documents and resolve inquiries.
• Use computer systems to retrieve data and process payments outside standard systems.
Required Qualifications
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills for high-volume, deadline-driven work.
• Proficiency in Excel; advanced Excel skills are needed for the role.
• Ability to work within strict guidelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for professional correspondence.
• Knowledge of financial processes, automated disbursement systems, and relational databases.
Preferred Experience
• Experience with a financial institution or bank.
• Accounts receivable or processing experience.
• Some college education.
