Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, dependable Quality Control Technician to oversee finished goods inspection, inventory release, and outbound shipping preparation at our Coppell, TX manufacturing facility.
In this vital dual-focus role, you will bridge the gap between production and customer delivery. You will inspect components coming off the furnace line, perform critical quality verifications, maintain digital traceability records in our ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics & Synergy), and safely stage verified goods for shipment.
This is a premier opportunity for someone with hands-on quality inspection, machine operation, or material handling experience looking for a stable, day-shift career in industrial quality assurance.
Why Join Our Team?
- Consistent 1st Shift Schedule: Enjoy regular weekday hours (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) with evenings and weekends free.
- Balanced Role: Blend hands-on shop floor inspection and forklift operation with high-value technical documentation and ERP data management.
- Skill Growth: Gain cross-functional experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS), Certificates of Analysis/Conformance (CofA / CofC), and supply chain logistics.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inspection & Defect Quarantine
- Assist in unloading thermal processing / furnace lines to perform immediate visual and physical inspections on finished components.
- Verify dimensions, visual finish, and mechanical integrity against engineering drawings and customer technical specifications.
- Promptly quarantine suspect, defective, or out-of-spec products; flag root-cause concerns and notify the QA Manager and Production Manager via email.
2. Documentation, ERP Entry & Customer Certification
- Generate and issue official Certificates of Analysis (CofA) and Certificates of Conformance (CofC) for external customer orders.
- Enter all inspection results, test metrics, and lot acceptance data into the Synergy quality database.
- Process and close out Manufacturing Orders (MOs) in Microsoft Dynamics, officially releasing verified product batches into active inventory.
3. Material Handling & Shipping Preparation
- Safely operate sit-down/stand-up forklifts to transport parts, pallets, and materials between the furnace area, QC inspection station, and shipping staging lanes.
- Package, label, band, and prepare approved finished goods for outbound freight and customer shipments.
4. Safety & 5S Housekeeping
- Maintain a pristine, organized, and audit-ready Quality Control laboratory and inspection workstation.
- Adhere strictly to site Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) rules, chemical handling guidelines, and mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED; technical school certificate or equivalent practical manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience: 6+ months of experience in quality control, machine operation, shipping/receiving, or industrial manufacturing.

- Computer Proficiency: Comfortable navigating business software, email communication, spreadsheets, and database/ERP platforms (prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or Synergy is a plus).
- Communication & Math: Strong English written and verbal communication to document non-conformance reports; practical math skills (basic algebra, decimals, fractions, and percentage calculations).
- Pre-Employment Screening: Must be authorized to work in the U.S., pass a standard pre-employment drug screen and background check, and present valid government identification.
Preferred Assets (Not Required)
- Prior experience handling industrial chemicals or working in heat-treating / metalworking environments.
