Job details

Kelly’s customer, a Medical Equipment and Supplies Manufacturing company, located in Markham, ON, are looking for a permanent Production Supervisor to join their team.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set up production machinery and equipment.

  • Requisition materials and supplies.

  • Prepare incoming inspection, production, and other reports.

  • Ensure safety rules and regulations are followed, including ISO 13485 quality management and regulatory requirements of Health Canada and other jurisdictions, such as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and CE marking for the EU.

  • Train workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies, especially in the area of quality management procedures and regulatory requirements.

  • Supervise and assist in the coordination of the activities of workers who assemble, fabricate, inspect and test electronic assemblies, parts and components.

  • Resolve work problems and make recommendations to management.

Supervisors must be highly skilled at product assembly, testing and inspection. These duties include:

  1. Assembly, inspection of small medical devices in a clean environment

  2. Cleaning medical devices

  3. Packaging

  4. Testing devices

  5. Inspection/quality control of devices, and

  6. Labeling of product.

Supervisors must be able to safely perform repetitive tasks standing and sitting, work with very small product, leading in a team environment to meet production schedules and quality standards.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completion of high school, college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training, Completion of university desirable.

  • 2 years or more of relevant work experience.

  • Preferred experience includes supervising and coordinating manufacturing activities, establishing work schedules, overseeing safety of operations, and setting up of machines and equipment.

  • Great hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and great interpersonal skills.

  • Displays strong leadership skills and ensures company’s processes and procedures are followed.

  • Flexible to work the Afternoon Shift from 4:00pm – 12:00am, Monday to Friday.

  • Available to work day shift during training period.

 

PERKS:

  • $26.24 per hour, plus $2.00 premium for afternoon shift.

  • Benefits available April 2024

  • 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday
