CNC Machinist – Setup & Operation, Multi-Axis
Location: Huntington Beach, CA 92649
Pay: $33.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, starting at 7:30 a.m.
Overtime: Mandatory overtime is required. Employees will typically work 9–10-hour shifts and approximately four hours on Saturdays for the next several months.
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist who can independently set up and operate multi-axis CNC machines with minimal supervision. This is not an entry-level machine operator position.
The ideal candidate will have strong machining fundamentals, sound judgment, excellent inspection skills, and the ability to troubleshoot issues while maintaining efficient production.
Responsibilities

Set up and operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC mills
-
Operate Haas and/or Fadal CNC machines
-
Make program edits at the machine control, including G-code and M-code adjustments
-
Adjust offsets, tooling, and machine settings as needed
-
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications
-
Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision measuring instruments
-
Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues
-
Make adjustments to maintain accuracy, quality, and production efficiency

Meet established production schedules, quality standards, and productivity expectations

Maintain a clean and safe work area
Required Qualifications
-
At least five years of CNC machining experience
-
Hands-on experience operating Haas and/or Fadal machines
-
Ability to independently complete machine setups
-
Experience machining the following materials:
-
Aluminum
-
Stainless steel
-
Inconel
-
-
Strong blueprint-reading and inspection skills
-
Ability to accurately use precision measuring instruments
-
Ability to make machine-control program edits and tooling adjustments
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience machining aerospace components
-
Experience operating manual mills, lathes, or grinders
-
Experience machining nickel or nickel-based alloys
Additional Requirements
-
Must be a U.S. citizen due to government and defense contract requirements

Must successfully pass a criminal background check
-
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Ability to stand for extended periods
-
Must be dependable, proactive, and capable of solving problems independently

Must be willing and able to work mandatory overtime
