Location: Cincinnati, OH
Pay Rate: $30.00/hour
Shift: EOWN — Thursday–Saturday, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
Training Shift: FOWN — Monday–Wednesday, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
Employment Type: Full-time, Contingent/Temporary


Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Maintenance Technician II (Journeyman level) to provide a range of electrical, controls, and mechanical services in support of our automated production equipment. This role is essential for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving equipment reliability and efficiency within our manufacturing operations.


Key Responsibilities

Safety

  • Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with all relevant safety regulations and industry standards

  • Identify and correct unsafe conditions involving electrical safety, shielding/guarding, safety interlocks, and emergency stops

  • Complete safety review checklists for new equipment and process changes

  • Consistently follow site safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out, hot work, confined spaces, and others

Operations Support

  • Promptly and thoroughly troubleshoot and repair production equipment to minimize downtime

  • Ensure spare parts are identified and available for all production machinery

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and adjust requirements as necessary

  • Provide ongoing training and mentorship to production associates for equipment operation and maintenance

  • Assist with updates to equipment-related SOPs to ensure accurate procedures

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs, enhance quality, and boost customer satisfaction

  • Participate in site-wide continuous improvement initiatives, including PPI and Lean activities

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; advanced education in a scientific/technical field preferred

  • Technical certification is a plus

  • 3–5 years of technical mechanical and/or electrical experience, or a combination of education and work experience

  • Proficient at troubleshooting automated equipment, electronics, sensors, motors, servos, and pneumatics in a manufacturing environment

  • Strong mechanical skills for disassembly, repair, and reassembly of complex equipment

  • Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, lubrication, electrical systems, and industrial automation

  • Familiarity with construction, maintenance, and repairs in a commercial environment

  • Proficient in the use of all hand and power tools

Additional Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient with PC applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and factory software (CMMS, inventory management)

  • Ability to work in various environments, including office, laboratory, chemical production, cleanroom, warehouse, rooftops, mechanical and interstitial spaces, and outdoors as needed

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
